Is "foodism" a fad?

Economic experts don't think so. They believe creative food entrepreneurs are good for the economy, here in Southwestern Wisconsin and elsewhere.

That's why economic development dollars are being spent for a variety of innovative projects this year. Some of those dollars have been committed to
build a shared-use commercial kitchen in Gays Mills.

You have helped us demonstrate that there is substantial local interest in such a facility. Now we'd like you to help us design it and decide how to equip it.

Learn how the kitchen will be organized and see a preliminary plan for its layout.

Learn how some entrepreneurs are already making plans to use the kitchen.  And most important, tell us how you'd like us to support your food enterprise.

Who:  Brad Niemcek, Kickapoo Kitchen Project Team
Julie Henley, Gays Mills Flood Recovery Coordinator

When:  6 p.m., Wednesday, February 10

Where:  Gays Mills Community Center

Why:  We need your ideas.
