The week of the 4th of July is the annual meeting of North American Quakers under Friends General Conference.  This is the (sometimes called) liberal wing of Quakers and it shows in their choice of t-shirts.  I picked on the most interesting ones all week and provide them here, some with smiling faces in view.  Thanks to all who went along with my project.  Here is the first one I found, with many others in the full story...

Here is a short list of Quaker thoughts...

Central America concern...

Peace concerns...

Concern for the environment...

Against racism

The Arts...

And my personal favorite that I took at a gathering of non-theist Friends. I had never been exposed to the small contingent of these seekers and so I listened to them at a discussion group and then asked this man if I could take his picture. He asked if I really liked the t-shirt, would I wear it? I said I liked it very much, so he gave it to me...we traded shirts so he would not have to walk around half naked. So anyway my first encounter with an atheist Friend was that he gave the shirt off his back. Not a bad first impression.
