Dalai Lama, to speak in Madison, May 2-4. All the details are at the Deer_Park_Buddist_Center website. He will offer three days of teaching and an empowerment ceremony, and a separate event offering a public lecture at the Kohl Center. All the events require tickets and probably in advance. The website has online ticket ordering.
I participated in an empowerment ceremony 8 years ago when he visited Madison. Even though I am without formal instruction and grounding in Buddism, it was a moving experience. We are quite privileged to have him return to Wisconsin on a regular basis. I highly recommend making the effort to attend.
