The regional peace marches that happened on Saturday October 27th were well attended, but largely ignored in the mainstream press. The Christian Science Monitor printed a commentary critical of the coverage, and this from Jerry Lanson , who is a professor of journalism at Emerson College in Boston and long-time journalist.
WNPJ has posted a video from the Chicago demonstration. It looks pretty typical from my experiences out there. I know some activists from the area attended--view it below. Also some of those folks are in court today facing charges of sitting in (trespassing) Congressman Kind's office in protest of continued funding of the war in Iraq. (I can't find any coverage of this in the La Crosse Trib either.)
